Kicking Off During The FIFA 2022 World Cup
Once the initial improvements were made, based on the user feedback, 5TARS opened their game to the public during the FIFA 2022 World Cup, where players could join Arenas of the matches between competing countries and predict the outcome of their supported teams!
During the World Cup, 5TARS gained more than 5,000 players, or 5TARTERS, who were able to enjoy the game alongside the matches. They have since then expanded their game further and introduced new features to make the player experience even more exciting and engaging for players globally.
Evolving The Game
After the World Cup ended, 5TARS realized that players wanted more out of their game, so they set in motion a series of new features and improvements. In March of 2023, 5TARS raised the stakes of their game, by introducing points and prizes! With every match, players could earn points towards a Match Leaderboard, Season Leaderboard, Round Leaderboard and Monthly Leaderboard. Points are earned two ways, through Prediction & Fantasy. Players could now predict more than just the final score, and their NFT Cards played a larger role for earning points during matches. During this time, the number of users grew to over 15,000! Proving that these updates were exactly what players were looking for.
Since March 2023, 5TARS has distributed prizes worth over $20,000, including PlayStation 5s, Nintendo Switches, iPhones, high-end sneakers, etc. which made the game even more enticing to play, with a lot to win!
August 2023 Updates
In-Game Currency
5TARS has implemented its own in-game currency, to replace the previously used USDC. Players can now deposit money in exchange for STARCOINS, which can be used to purchase Cards & Training Sessions in the 5TARS Shop.
1 USDC equals up to 100 STARCOINS. Now Players will win STARCOINS in arenas where there will be multiple winners. Players can also earn STARCOINS by playing the daily min-games.
STARCOINS can be used to buy NFTs, Packs, Gift Cards, and much more!
Levels
5TARS.io has expanded their game to create an even more competitive experience for players. Players have levels that they can increase as they play Arenas, which are now level-based. Prizes are also now level-based, so users will win specific prizes based on their level in the game.
Mini-Games
5TARS has found a way to make their game even more exciting for players by introducing two new mini-games that players can play daily between Arenas.
The first of the two new mini-games is the Penalty Shooter game, where players can take penalty kicks into a goal, while choosing the strength and direction of their shot, with an automated “goalkeeper” that will try to prevent their shot.
The second mini-game is the Stadium Card Game, which is a card game that uses attributes and skills that players will use to face either other players or a bot.
The inclusion of mini games provides players with an even more interactive experience, along with entertainment!
The Prizes
With the previous season’s prizes valuing up to $20,000, 5TARS has guaranteed that the following season will be even better, with over $40,000 in prizes available! Prizes can now be distributed in the form of STARCOINS, which can be collected and then exchanged via the 5TARS Shop to earn gift cards valuing up to $500!
