In this article, we’re going to take a look at how our Prediction Points within the Arenas work, how players can score points, and what types of rewards can be earned from ranking high on our Leaderboards.
How Prediction Points Work
Once you have signed up using your Email or Social Media accounts, you can participate in any one of our Arenas! There’s no fee for joining the Arenas, and all are free-to-play.
Once you enter your chosen Arena, you’ll be given your first prediction option, the final score. Players can use their knowledge of how well these teams usually perform, as well as the odds against each team, to help determine what the final score will be.
The next prediction will be what percentage of the ball each team will have possession of, you can base this prediction on the team’s previous match performances.
Once you’ve placed those predictions, you’ll proceed to the next screen, where you’ll be provided with two options; no goals scored during the match, if your score prediction is 0–0, for example, or, you can select who, from a list of players on each team participating in the match, will score the first goal.
The final prediction will give you three options, the number of yellow and red cards that will be given during the game, and the number of corners that will be received. With that, you’re all set for the match to begin.
You can always go back and edit your predictions, however, in case you want to make an update or change your mind. Each one of these predictions will give you the chance to earn points at the end of the match, depending on their accuracy.
However accurate your predictions are, they will impact the end-of-match Leaderboard, in which the players who have predicted most accurately will be displayed on top. The closer your predictions are to the final result, the more points you will receive. These are known as “Prediction Points”. For example; if a player has predicted the score to be 2–1, and the final score is 1–1, the player will earn 15 points towards their total since their prediction was close to the final result. As long as your prediction is within range of the final results, you will stand a chance to win points toward the Leaderboard.
The prediction points work as follows:
- For an accurate score prediction, you’ll earn a maximum of 30 points, with a penalty of -50% per goal that is further from the final result.
- For an accurate possession prediction, you’ll earn a maximum of 20 points, with a penalty of -10% per 1% which is further from the final result.
- The maximum point for correctly predicting the first Goal is 20 points.
- For an accurate Corners prediction, you’ll earn a maximum of 20 points, with a penalty of -25% per corner that is further from the final result.
- For an accurate prediction of Yellow Cards, you’ll earn a maximum of 20 points, with a penalty of 25% per card that is further from the final result.
- For an accurate prediction of Red Cards, you’ll earn a maximum of 10 points, with a penalty of 50% per card that is further from the final result.
The top 3 players of the match Leaderboard will receive random NFT cards varying in value, which they can then use in future matches going forward.
Remember, the points accumulated will add up to our special Leaderboard, in which the top players stand a chance to win exciting prizes on behalf of GoGift, so your best chance is to keep playing our Arenas.
